Dad's Home this Weekend!
Let's just say Will enjoys the time he spends with his dad! Chad has been very busy with work the past couple of months and has spent a significant portion of time out of town and working crazy hours...nothing has really changed. But Will recognizes his voice on speakerphone and will start chatting away and get a big smile on his face in the evening when Chad calls. It's pretty cute! He also got to spend some quality time with Dad when I had to go to the dentist again for a check-up. Go Marquette!
Will also sported his MU gear this weekend! And he matched his dad in his Marquette sweatshirt. It was pretty cute so we took a picture. Thanks Marlena for the t-shirt onsies! Will is going to get plenty of use out of them as we await the start of basketball season since it appears that most of our college football teams aren't doing so hot this season. The leaves are changing here and the maple trees are full of color! The picture is of our street. You can see colors all over the place. We also had a very nice weekend and were able to take several walks and spent a lot of time outside. Last week was very gloomy and in the 50s. It rained a bunch, but the weekend was 100 times better! It was sunny and in the upper 60s. On our Sunday walk we stopped at an ice cream shop and Chad got a coffee drink and we both had wonderful ice cream. Chad also noticed on the door the sign read "Coffee to Go." LOVE ENGLISH!

The change of colors is beautiful and we are enjoying all the seasons here. It seems like we just arrived and there was a bit of snow on the ground. How quickly our time here is passing.
Sleeping Baby! The best news of the week is the new sleep schedule for little Will! Beginning last Thursday, he has slept until 7:30am! He goes down around 8:30pm-9pm and will sleep until morning and then eats at 8:00am. He's down to 4 bottles a day too! Now sometimes he wakes up briefly if he needs a diaper changed (and they are heavy and full) or if he needs a bit of help getting onto his tummy to sleep. He still will not win any awards for napping during the day but at least he's sleeping at night. He also will entertain himself with random things. He was playing with this blanket on the couch and his eyes were just too cute so I took a picture.
Language Lessons...I need to study!
I do I do I do! The German lessons are going well and Lina says that I am doing well and staying a bit ahead of schedule. Now, let's just say that I am not as pleased with my progress and the perfectionist in me wants to be fluent now. There are so many rules and I know English is not the easiest language, but at least we only have one word for "a" and "the" (OK maybe we use "an" once in awhile). I now hope that we can have Will learn German earlier so it is easier. We are watching more German TV during the day and he pays attention at my lessons. I think he just likes to stare at Lina. :)

The Boy and his Nuk
Will does sometimes use his Nuk or pacifier. Now it is strange because he wants it after he gets done eating his bottle if he is still hungry and the bottle is empty, but after he burps...no more. He also will suck on it a bit when he gets tired, but when his eyes close...out comes the Nuk. I also tried to give him the 3-6mo. larger Nuk and he spits it out (and far) quickly after he realizes it's a new one. I'm just waiting for the days of the Nuk to go away. I just hope he keeps it for our flights so he can suck on something for take off and landing.
2009 Travel Schedule
Chad and I are busy planning our travel for 2009. It seems like we'll make our trip home in the summer and spend next Christmas here. I also believe we are going to venture to South Africa to visit Melikaya in May and try to take a Mediterranean cruise as well (hopefully this will include Egypt). The clock is ticking and we'll be back living in the States before we know it. Let us know if you want to join us and we'll get it on the calendar.
We're going to add Austria, Ireland, Britain, and Scotland to Will's list before the end of 2008.
