Carnival, M&D Visit, Jack's Trip to the Doctor...more more more...

Carnival Party & Costumes
We were able to attend Rote Funken, the largest Carnival party in Colonge, again this year.  Thanks to Chad's Senior Manager.  This large party occurs at the Maritime Hotel and has several large ballrooms of famous live bands, karaoke, DJ's and dancing. Of course you could also visit any of the stations and order a Kolsch, if you can manage to get through the crowds.  It was great because Kate was able to join us from Dusseldorf and my mom and her friend, Laura also joined in the fun.

We decided to go as Pirates this year and Chad got a wig and everything. We selected our costumes based on the Parrot costume we got for Will last year.  Will also sported his Dog costume as well during the craziness of Carnival season. :)

The Parade
On Sunday, my parents, Laura, Chad, and Will attended the parade in Rodenkirchen.  It was amazing the amount of candy and toys they brought back. Not sure what we are going to do with all of it, but at least they braved the snow to see the parade.
M&D at the parade!
Laura and Behmer
Laura flew over to spend Carnival time with us, although I don't think she knew what she was getting in to!  I decided to buy a little flare for their costumes, so they fit right in.

Grandpa and the Boys
When we attended the party, my dad watched the boys. I think they both enjoyed the night of having grandpa around.  Will really listened to my dad, probably because of his firm voice.  Will was all about saying "Grandpa" or what we made out to be "Grandpa."  He also enjoyed climbing on him and being tossed around.  Full of energy...

It was funny after they left one morning, Will ran out into the living room and saw Chad's computer where my dad kept his, and he kept saying "Grandpa" and looked around confused.

Here's a video of Will playing with Grandpa (who's planning for a trip to Brussels)

Jack's trip to the Doctor
Also Jack had his first trip to the doctor on the 17th. He's doing so well and the doctor even commented that he is an easy going baby. He was content, even when naked! He is growing fast and very healthy.  I was so glad to hear the doctor say that his is well, because that's what I've been thinking.

It was so great to have my parents and Laura come for a few weeks. As with all of their trips it goes so fast. I'm so glad they were able to experience Carnival here in Cologne, because it is so hard to describe well.  Will also enjoyed having more people to play with and I enjoyed the extra hands to feed Jack!  Now we'll have to plan for their next trip here this summer/fall.

Here are some more pictures from the time when my parents were visiting!
