Mac & Cheese!
This week Will had some Mac and Cheese and LOVED it! He really would prefer to feed himself if possible. I'm also cutting up small pieces of anything for him to gum down. He'll eat his baby food but only if you are eating something too. It is crazy but he is a social eater! He also does not care for bananas and has his gagging reflex perfected!
Funny story: One night I tried to feed him around 6:00pm some baby food (that I know he likes) and he wanted nothing to do with it. I gave up and decided it wasn't worth it. Well, Chad got home and brought dinner. I thought, let's see if Will will eat with us? I fed him the same baby food and he ate the whole jar with us. Silly baby!
Will's first Mac & Cheese...imported from the US!
I can Stand!
He can also do a pretty good job holding himself up! He can stand for a few minutes by himself, although we don't go far. Will likes to pat pat pat on things and watch is podcasts standing up too! It is cute to watch him shake is butt and dance to the songs.
Sleepy Baby!
On Saturday Will was in a really good mood and woke up happy! He took two 25 minute power naps at 10am and 2pm. He also talked on Skype to his new cousin, Oliver, and others. It was time for dinner at 6:00pm. Well, as I was feeding him, his eyes slowly blinked and then closed. Chad captured some of this craziness with the camera. The pictures speak for themselves.
He took another 25 minute power nap (we moved him to his bed) and was up until almost 10pm. Anna and Martin came over and brought the wonderful sleepy Rosi, she was SO GOOD and a good little sleeper and she understands bedtime, better than our little guy. Will was entertained and showed off his tricks for them. We are so glad to have them as friends and had a great evening hanging out!
GREAT "Adult" Dessert
I'm going to share this dessert recipe because I made it last night and LOVE it and it is easy! We had dinner with a very nice American family in London and she made it...YUMMY!
Sauce:
1 container sour cream
3 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Amaretto
Mix the sauce ingredients together and pour over fruit (we had blueberries, strawberries, and kiwi but anything will work). Depending on the taste you might want to add a bit more brown sugar. :)
