Just in case you are wondering about the weather here...yeah who knows from hour to hour or minute to minute. It can be raining one minute and clear sky another. We are learning to carry our umbrellas with us all the time. We also need to get new ones that are a bit better and more sturdy. I refer to them as "Mary Poppins" umbrellas because most people have the hooks on the end and really do use the hooks! It has been damp and cold a bit but occasionally we'll have sun. The weather so far seems to be similar to back home.

IKEA
We've also made a trip to IKEA! It is where everyone tells us to shop to buy things for our flat. We're still waiting for our stuff to arrive so we'll have to wait to make a purchase there. But we had lunch there and Chad ordered Sweedish Meatballs... IKEA is the same as in the US, large and very busy. Thanks to our friend Meg who has taken me before because I we knew how to navigate the store!
Aldi & Bottled Water
The other popular place is Aldi! This is a Germany company which is designed to have the products you really need in stock and a few weekly specials. Everyone keeps telling us about it and we went to the one near IKEA. It is very similar to the Aldi in the states except everything is in German of course! Chad also bought wine here.
Also, we've been told to drink bottled water. The water here is safe to drink, but people don't do it. We'll use it for coffee (which Chad has figured out how to make) and hot chocolate in the morning, but we do buy bottled "Still" water. We buy 6 liters at a time and then you have to return the bottles at the store to get your deposit back. It's about 50cents a bottle, so it makes a difference. The bottle is worth more than than water which is only about 15cents for a liter.
More Car Shopping
We went to the Mercedes dealership and found a few cars we liked as well. Hopefully we can find one soon since the rental car is due back on Friday!
