Healthy Baby! Will and I took a trip 2 blocks to visit the doctor today for his U3 Appointment. He had the U1 right away after he was born and the U2 at the hospital when he was 4 days old. The Germans are very organized and methodical when it comes to scheduling appointments and have given me the dates for all of his appointments for the rest of our time here. He also has a little booklet with his information that I bring with me to the appointments. It's like his record or file.

He weighed 3600 grams and is 53cm. He has grown 500 grams and 3 cm in the last 3 weeks. The doctor also commented (as did my mom several times) that he can hold his head up (for short periods of time) very well and he is very alert and can follow objects with his eyes. He said he is very impressed with his development and eye contact. I bet he says that to all the babies. :)
He also showed off his ability to make a fountain when we he was getting ready to be weighed (in the buff). Will also enjoyed the heat lamp that the doctor turned on when he had to strip down.
The other interesting thing the doctor did was ultrasound his hips and looked at his liver. They are developing normally, but I wasn't prepared for him to pull out an ultrasound machine for the little guy.
