4 Months has gone quickly!

4 Months Down...20 to Go!
It's hard to believe that Koln, Germany has been our home for 4 months. As we think back it certainly has been a crazy 4 months and a lot has changed.  We said before we left "if we can make it to July, we can make it through anything."  I think this is true, we made it through July (almost) and we are doing well.  We are still trying to adjust and there are days when we miss things from the States, but we are becoming more comfortable here and really starting to make this home.  We do have a lot to accomplish in the next 20 months.  There is a lot of traveling to be done and also Chad is busy at work trying to accomplish all of his goals for his time here.  Time goes so quickly.

We are realizing that home is more than a physical place. It has been a bit challenging at times and Chad has been very patient with me as I am going through an identity crisis not working.  Overall, we have been very blest as we have made some wonderful friends here, continue to learn, been able to have guests visit from home, and have a very good, healthy baby!

Special Offer = Sale
Will and I went shopping in the city center this week after we dropped Chad off at work. It was incredibly busy.  I have to remember that Koln is also a place for tourists and you see lots of backpackers. :)  Oh to be in college again!  Phil, you're going to have so much fun next year.

I also realized that in Germany they have sales or "special offers" about twice a year to get rid of inventory. They have sales in July to get rid of summer merchandise and in January for winter things.  We had a lot of fun walking around and I just enjoyed getting out. We didn't really buy much but did take advantage of some sales. :)

Will is growing...
As can be expected will is growing and we're guessing over 10lbs now and getting longer (still skinny, but growing).  He's really active and we're working on him taking better naps during the day.  He is just so alert and wants to keep looking around at things, which means he gets a bit tired and fussy around 8pm.  He's also enjoys the A-teens version of Super Trooper and Kermit's Rainbow Connection!  Yes, he's listening to Mama Mia, Les Mis, and Wicked. He's going to love Broadway musicals and probably country.

Good news about sleeping! He is successfully in his own bed at night and he also sleeping a solid 6 hours for us at night.  I still don't sleep through it because I'm worried I am just not hearing him, but he'll let me know if he needs something.  We also were fortunate this week to change his diaper one night and I got covered in poop! I had no idea that he could fire it like a cannon. It shot out all over my pajamas. I hope some day he can throw a baseball with as much momentum.

More visitors!
Chad's parents arrive tomorrow and will be here for a few weeks. Will is excited to meet them and we have some fun things planned!  He's also curious about what Brett Farve will do and if he'll be wearing the green and gold as his dad reads him the JS Online articles.

I don't have a ton of pictures of things here so I'm just adding some recent ones of Will. His dad took the one of the smile!

Hi guys, sounded like you had a great time with your parents, I know your mom was so happy to be there and spend all that time with you and that adorable little boy! The pictures are great, and I'm glad I got to see them after talking to your mom about her trip there. Will is very close in all he is doing too our little Audreyana, they are only 2 weeks apart, so I hope we get to see you when you come back here. It would be fun to see them together! Have a good trip back.... Take good care, Pat

p.s. Hope you like the little outfits I picked out, they are probably too big, I wasn't sure what size he was, but he looks little, so dang cute, but a little bigger than Audrey, she's a real peanut!! I thought the little t-shirt was so cute for a boy!
