A New President

We are currently in London and watched CNN to see the election results.  Also the headline on the front page of the UK "The Independent" Newspaper was "The history man."  Every station on TV including the BBC is covering the election results and explaining how the electoral college works.  It is amazing to see how informed they are about US politics and how the system works.  It is also nice  to be hear and be able to see everything in English!

Funny English Again
When we arrived to London, we went out to eat and I ordered a "Coke Light."  The server asked me if "Diet Coke" was OK. :)

It is also nice to be able to ask people for directions or even if they baby food in the store.  I am so used to having to figure it out in German.

We also are finding ourselves saying "Danke" and "Guten Tag."  We need to get used to "Thank you" and "Hello" in Engish.  What a nice break.

Will News:  5 Months old Today
Here are some highlights about our growing little boy:
  1. He has found his toes and now will take his socks off to grab them.
  2. He is ticklish under his arms, around his neck and on his thighs.  His giggles are so adorable.
  3. He's a little flirt and will smile at anyone who talks to him on the trains, in the tube or hotel lobby.  Yesterday he was full of smiles for the woman who cleans our room.
  4. He can almost crawl by pushing himself with his feet. He doesn't like laying on the bed because it is harder to push off.
  5. He can eat a whole jar of pears...if we let him.  He has to eat the cereal first because after he get the pears, there is no going back.
  6. He still loves TVs.  He watched the one in the hotel and also the airport. :)  He also will watch cartoons in German and giggle when we are at home.
  7. He still loves to read books and now we are reading Green Eggs and Ham
