Antwerp Trip

Chad is now down traveling to London for awhile so we drove to Antwerp, Belgium for the weekend.  It was only about a 2 hour drive from Koln and we were able to leave a bit year and avoid traffic.  We also had great weather while we were there and leave the rain in Germany.  Chad studied in Antwerp for 3 weeks when he was at Marquette and so he was able to show us around a bit in the land of Beer, Waffles, Chocolate, and Diamonds!  We managed to sample everything but the Diamonds.  I was impressed with how much Chad remembered from his trip years ago.

There were chocolate shops all over the place and of course we had to sample some!

Chad was able to navigate the city streets and take us to the University where he had classes.  It was like he was there yesterday and he was also able to point out the bars he went to as well.

Will was tired little guy as we walked near the port saw the Antwerp Castle.

The city center was beautiful and we did a lot window shopping!  I didn't realize that Antwerp is known for diamonds.  We didn't purchase any though.  Also, I believe Chad was in  more malls and stores than he has been in the past 3 years as the city centre is full of shops and indoor malls.

Will was ready to watch Sesame Street after a long day of riding in his pusher!
