"I don't know"
"Where did it go?"
"Right here"
"Over there"
"Oh No!"
"Yah Yah Yah"
He is a good listener and helper!
* Will does a good job putting his toys away. I am probably a bit over the top because I only let him play with one thing at a time. Before he can play with something else he has to pick up what he has out already. We're flexible of course, but it works. He knows that his cars need to be in the blue bucket before he can get his train set out. I appreciate this so much! I hate chasing and hunting for toys.
* We've been able to establish more of a routine with Will now that we haven't traveled in awhile. When Will gets up from his nap he knows he can have some blueberries. He also knows he needs to sit on the couch to eat them. He'll either sit on his little couch or next to me and he'll eat his blueberries. He also will walk right from his bedroom in the the kitchen to get them. :) He can open the fridge and reaches in to get the container and will bring the container to me. If only he could reach the sink and wash them.
* Since he can get into and out of the fridge he also is very good at getting his milk and putting it away. It's pretty nice because he doesn't leave it out (most of the time) and I know where to find it. I also need to mention that he uses a slip proof cup still.
* I am also thankful that he will still throw away his diapers. I now need to lower where I keep the clean diapers so he can bring them to me. Once we have this all mastered., we'll be potty training.
Favorite Past Times
* Hiding in closets and under covers! Will isn't scared of the dark, yet anyway, and so he loves to hide in his dad's dress shirt closet. Oh Boy does this make Chad unhappy. You can imagine sometimes his dirty little fingers near Chad's work clothes. He will hide between the shirts and just sit there until we come find him. He'll yell "Dad" Dad" until Chad comes to get him.
* Being chased by dad around the kitchen and living room. He will giggle and giggle. He loves that his dad has been home for so long without travel.
Cars Cars Cars...
Chad will tell you that I worry about Will collecting too much stuff and just because he smiles and laughs at something doesn't mean we get him anything we can find that pertains to that something. So know that I am very aware of what we buy for him and pretty intentional that he's actually going to play with something and/or how much use we'll get out of it. Chad also laughs because I do think about the "educational value" of some of the toys. Lucky Will that his mom spends so much time with him (take that as you want). The kid loves to play with the cardboard cylinder from the paper-towels and make it a horn, so his attention span changes.
This all being said, he does gravitate to toward his cars. I decided to skip the little 0-2 cars and we went right to the Matchbox cars. CRAZY but he could play with them for hours and hours. He will line them all up and "make a parking lot." He is very intentional about them all facing the same direction. He usually makes 2 rows. He also has 2 favorite cars or really trucks...a green landscaping truck and a yellow DHL truck (he's German). His favorite "ramp" is a cardboard one that his dad made over Christmas. Will puts the cardboard triangle on his stool and pushes the cars down the ramp. Let's just say it is great that we have wood floors in the flat.
