Happy 4th of July!

As we enjoyed our balcony tonight we heard fireworks go off around 10:30pm and it was still light out.  CRAZY!  It reminded us of home a little and confused us at the same time.  Next year we'll be back at this time and enjoy a traditional 4th of July in Milwaukee.

We have returned to Germany from our long trip in the US so I will be going back and making posts from the trip. So much happened while we were there:  Jack's first trip across the pond, Jack's baptism, Will and Jack's first minor league baseball game, Behmerfest 2010, Will's 2nd birthday, and more than 40 hours in the car.  I'll update this later.

I must say that as difficult as it is to get both boys (who are in the same room) to adjust to the time change with out waking the other one up, I think back on what ANGELS they both were on our long flights. I couldn't have asked for them to be better! Will has this plane thing down and goes to sleep right after we take off and Jack was just happy and full of smiles and giggles.  Other children weren't as good on the flight and I was very proud when we had people tell us how good our boys were.  We are very very lucky!

Go GERMANY!!!
We are also closely following Germany in the World Cup! We watched yesterday with everyone else in the country as they beat Argentina in the quarterfinals.  It is worse than Packer fans during football season but very exciting to see everyone get so excited (as we are).

Thank you Tara!
While we were home Tara took some pictures of both boys and it wasn't easy, so I was so excited to see what she ended up with after a few hours of trying.  Will wouldn't sit still and Jack was a trooper because his brother was a hand full.  Here are some of the pictures she took and as I look at them, I realize how big they are both getting!  We have such good boys, who have such great personalities.  I picked my favorite two pictures because I think they represent them right now well.

Jack is the happiest, easiest baby who smiles when you just look at him. It is rare to hear him cry and he is now starting to crawl to his brother.  He's pretty much the ideal second child, who is easy going and loves to watch everything.

Will is all over the place!  This picture is perfect because he's a little dare devil and climber.  He constantly is on the move. He's a thinker and will watch someone do something like unlock a door or use a screw driver and will try to do it himself.  He is also a big sweetie who gives the best "running hugs" and will climb up his brother's crib and say "Hi Jack" in the morning and sing "Good Night, Good Night" to him before bed.
