Will at the Zoo

Will Love's His Mom
I am usually cold and LOVE LOVE LOVE the bags of corn (from Maggie's mom) that I can heat in the microwave. Since the weather has been a bit more chilly here I have gotten one out and started to use it. Will is pretty cute because he can now pick it up, carry it to the microwave, open the microwave, close the microwave door, and get my attention to start the microwave to heat it up. :) He's such a sweetie! Once the microwave beeps he knows how to open the door and blow on it because it is "HOT." He struggles a bit getting it out because it is a bit hard for him to grab.

Chad says I have him "well trained." I like to think he's just being his sweet self or at least he wants to do something nice for his mom.

Trip to the Zoo
Last Saturday we all went to the Cologne Zoo. It was overcast and a bit chilly but the Zoo was impressive. It was much larger than we thought and also nicer than the Milwaukee Zoo (this is a great zoo too). Will enjoyed the seals, giraffes, and fish in the aquarium the most so we spent a lot of time looking at them. The seals were very active and swimming around so even Chad and I thought they were entertaining.

Chad however did comment how many people were there without kids. I don't think he would be a zoo goer without Will. :) If we stay in Cologne longer we will probably invest in a yearly zoo pass.

Bread Snob
I also realized yesterday that Will has become a bread snob! We went to the bakery before picking Chad up from work because it was raining. Since it was later in the day the selection was down and his sweet rolls (that he usually gets) were gone. He pointed to a cheese roll and I instead got him a pretzel. He quickly put the pretzel down and pointed at the cheese roll again. The nice woman, who works there and always says hi to Will, cut a small portion off of a cheese roll for him and handed it to him. He smiled and clapped for her. The little flirt! She commented that at least he knows what he wants. :) What is he going to do when we move back to the US and he won't get his fresh bread anymore?

Why is there an apostrophe in the phrase "Will love's his Mom?" Is this a contraction or a word that is possessive? Just wanted to make sure you weren't losing proper English grammar.
