We left Thursday night after Chad got done with work for the Frankfurt PWC Office. We spent Friday at a Cross-Cultural Training with other PWC employees that are working in Germany and from other countries. The day was quite interesting (in fact most was a repeat of what we had in the training in the US before we left). It was also great to meet some other people that are in the same boat as us and learning a lot about Germany and the German Culture. We also got some great recommendations about helpful websites when we plan our future trips.skyscanner.net = for cheap airfare in Europe
ricksteves.com = for good tours in Europe
You know you're pregnant when...
I got on the U-bahn (or above ground train system in Koln) with my small suitcase and 4 middle school kids get up and give up there seat (they were sharing 2 seats among the 4 of them) and insisted in German that I sit there. No matter how I insisted that I could stand, they were very sweet and kept smiling and pointing to the seats.

We were reminded when we got to the hotel that we weren't in the UK anymore and we were staying in a German hotel. This was how the bed was made! :) It was also quite low to the ground by our standards. Although the hotel was very nice and we had a great dinner. We had a wonderful German dessert that wasn't on the menu, but recommend by the waiter. I'd love to share the name, but we didn't get it. :) It included lots of different berries, ice cream, vanilla sauce on the side, and small pancake batter chunks. Sorry no camera at dinner.

Chad's Always Thinking...Thank Goodness

We took an ICE (high speed train) from Koln to Frankfurt and back. On our return trip we sat in the very first car up with the conductor! Here is a view of the conductor's seat from our seats. Chad was thinking ahead and reserved our seats for the trips which was a good idea because these trains filled quickly and most of the seats were reserved and might have had to stand for some of the ride. It was nice to sit in a peaceful car without worrying for our 90 minute trip back to Koln.
Congratulations to Anna & Martin!
Rosa Maria came (about 4 weeks early) early this week. We were looking forward to having them over for Rigatoni with Vodka Tomato Sauce for dinner tonight, but instead we're making a trip to visit them in the hospital. :)
