TGIF Again?

Well, it's Friday!
First, thanks Jason for answering the phone last night when we called! Chad was starting to wonder if you were avoiding him. :)

Chad made a journey by train today to Brussels and Kelly managed to run a bunch of errands this morning.  I went to return the recycling, IKEA to buy some racks to hang clothes, a Home Depot like store to find a fuse, and an Electronics Store to look into buying a new printer. Most of the day was spent without the computer as the black box of power kept blowing the fuse in our bedroom. :) We're also busy unpacking and trying to figure out where to put stuff without closets.

We also had a great doctor's appointment yesterday as well and Chad was able to see the technology and 3D ultrasound, but again, no picture because his hand was in the way. Maybe in two weeks when we try again we'll get a pic.  We also finalized the midwife which was huge.

Now, this week has been a bit of a longer one.  We've had highs and lows and Chad is getting very busy at work. He's remaining extremely positive. We're ready to feel a bit more unpacked and settled.  It will be nice to spend the time in London because it will be a bit easier to do things like travel in the city and order at restaurants. We have tickets for two shows on Saturday, Lord of the Rings & Wicked and Sunday we'll see some sites.

It is very easy to get consumed in the differences between home and Germany. There are the obvious things like language and things take more time and have a process (we still don't have our phone). But rather than focus on the challenges I thought I'd add the list on the left of the things I am thankful for here. We are constantly reminding ourselves not to be dualistic (bad or good, right or wrong, German or American) but rather just to learn and have patience. I do believe that when we return home, we'll be a bit slower paced and pay more attention to the little things. :)  Have a great weekend & we miss everyone!

Kelly -- I would never avoid a call from you guys. :) We continue to shop for a web cam to be able to "Skype" with you. Do you have a brand recommendation?
